My Little Pony: Blue Angels are Magic

Somewhere over New Jersey...

The US Navy Blue Angels were flying their traditional F/A-18 Hornets escorting their C-130 Hercules dubbed, 'Fat Albert' through the devastating Super-Storm Sandy. Angel 2 was saying,

"Boss, this is insane from Start to Finish!"

Angel 1 responded, "We had no choice, we had to fly through this hurricane."

Angel 3 stated, "As long as we stay close to Fat Albert, we'll be fine!"

Fat Albert responded, "All Angels, I lost contact with Angels 5 and 6."

Angel 5 responded, "I'm fine, I'm ok, but theres something going on in the storm!"

Angel 6 spoke, "Boss, there's an energy far beyond our comprehension, but its.."

Angel 1 replied, "Come in, Angel 6!"

Angel 6 finished, "IT'S PULLING US INTO THE STORM!!!"

Angel 4 realized, "He's right, I can't control my aircraft!!"

All pilots noticed the problem with their aircraft, as they tried to go against the storm, they were being pulled more and more into the storm. Even their C-130 is experiancing trouble with its controls. Angel 1 knew that this was it,

"Its been an honor serving with you gentlemen."

Angel 2 spoke, "Farewell."

Angel 3 responded, "The Blue Angels become Angels, a great end."

Angel 4 acknoledged, "This is Accension."

Angel 5 spoke, "This is it."

Angel 6 responded, "Blue Angels, signing off."

Fat Albert responded, "Hey, hey, hey, we are going out like Blue Angels."

As all seven planes get pulled into the storm, what they didn't know was that their final destination took them away from Earth and beyond their imagination.

Cloudsdale, Best Flyer Competition

Rainbow Dash has practiced everyday for winning the Best Flyer Competiton and hoping that Rarity doesn't rub her magical wings in her face. But what the two friends didn't know that the competition will change, and bring Equestria into contact with a new species that enjoy flying as much as Rainbow Dash.

As the competition started, Rarity was going to shine her wings on the crowd in the reflection of the sun, until she was suddenly startled from what sounded like an explosion, before her wings dyed out, causing her to fall.

Rainbow Dash saw her friend fall, when the Wonderbolts tried to get her, she knocked them out. Rainbow Dash had no choice but to take matters in her own hooves, when she went to perform her Sonic Rainboom, she spotted 6 blue objects zooming towards the falling ponies. She sped up close to see what they are, she saw one of them catch the falling ponies by having them land on the object.

She sped up to the object and saw that it was a machine, that can fly, it was Blue and Yellow, the same color as the Wonderbolts flight suits. She saw the driver, signalling her to grab the ponies, so she did. Before she went back to Cloudsdale, all 6 objects formed up around a 7th, which was larger than the others. She asked herself,

"What are they?"

Rarity asked, "Who are they?"

Rainbow Dash replied, "I saw an emblem on the machine, and the underside said, 'US Navy Blue Angels' there's also a number on the fins."

Rarity remembered, "That was a number 1, that saved us."

Near the Best Flyer Competition...

The Blue Angels were at a shock knowing that their not dead, but Angel 1 saved a group of falling ponies, even came into contact with a Cyan Pegasus with a Rainbow Mane. Angel 2 asked,

"What happened, Boss?"

Angel 1 stated, "I'm not a scientist, but I think that storm must've opened a dimesional-rift, and we ended up in a world inhabited by Ponies.

Angel 3 spoke, "I thought we would be dead in that storm."

Angel 1 realized, "That Pony, I encountered, no...it can't be."

Angels 4, 5, and 6 said, "Thats..."

Angel 1 finished, "Rainbow Dash, that was Rainbow Dash!"

Fat Albert responded, "We are going to be here for a long time."

Angel 1 ordered, "All Angels, form up. Lets give these ponies and Dashie, an Air Show."

Cloudsdale Arena...

Rarity and the Wonderbolts shook off the shock of being rescued by unknowns, and Rainbow Dash, until the same unknowns appearred again, peforming strange tricks, that nopony has ever seen and emitting music that was never heard before. The two 'Blue Angels' did a barrel roll before passing by each other.

The four 'Blue Angels' formed a diagonal line, then formed in the shape of a diamond then separated, they spew smoke out of their flanks. Two more joined their formation forming a triangle, until they all separated in six. The Number 1 spotted Rarity, Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts and saluted to them. All Blue Angels returned to where they appeared and began a second approach.

Just as the Blue Angels separated a massive object flew overhead and all six 'Blue Angels' formed around it and flew away.

Over Sweet Apple Acres...

The Blue Angels were a little shocked and overjoyed that they are alive and did a little airshow. But there's a bigger problem, they are out of fuel, so they had to find someplace to land. Angel 1 chose the landing spot.

"All Angels land near that Apple Farm, but don't hit any Apple trees."

The Blue Angels and Fat Albert landed safely, near the Apple Farm without any attention. The Pilots decided to use Fat Albert as their barracks, because its mostily their transport to Airshows.

9 hours after the Best Flyer Competition...

Applejack located Fat Albert, and the Blue Angels, that saved Rarity and the Wonderbolts, though the planes were found, the Pilots were not found near the landing zone. Though it was unclear of what happened to the Blue Angels until Pinkie Pie located the pilots, most likely walked into Sugarcube Corner.

The Pilots were bipedal, wore Blue and Yellow flight suits, wore what looked like a hat. Pinkie was bouncing up and down seeing the Pilots knowing that their new to Ponyville.

As soon as the Pilots returned to the landing zone, they were surprised that the entire town was in Fat Albert, led by the same pony they met at Sugarcube Corner.

They saw a Lavender Unicorn who asked them questions about what they are, and where did they come from. They spotted the White Unicorn that Angel 1 saved, who was a little distraught about their flight suits. They met a Yellow Pegasus, who was shy when she first saw them, Angel 4 shook her hoof in appreciation. They met a Farm Pony who offered an Apple pie for saving their friend back in Cloudsdale, they accepted. Angel 1 came into Contact with Rainbow Dash, who reconized him. She asked,

"You're the Blue Angel, who helped save Rarity and the Wonderbolts back in Cloudsdale. Not to mention the Air Show."

Angel 1 laughed, "My Squadron have been training for Air Shows. We're a Demonstration Squadron for the United States Navy, made of 10 F/A-18C single seat fighters, 2 F/A-18B two seat fighters, and this Transport that we are partying in."

Rainbow Dash asked, "How was the Blue Angels formed?"

Angel 1 replied, "They were formed to boost morale, and assigned a World War II ace and 5 others in F6F Hellcat fighters, and peformed amazing stunts. These pilots were soon called, 'The Blue Angels' The Planes switched from F6F's to F8F-1 Bearcats, to any aircraft chosen for the team. Now, the team flies F-18 Hornets and uses Fat Albert as a transport."

Rainbow Dash asked, "Fat Albert?"

Angel 1 answered, "The name of the plane we are in."

Applejack asked, "Why are y'all here in my farm anyway?"

Angel 1 answered, "Our planes are out of fuel, and we can't get them off the ground. We also need a Airbase, so we can practice our stunts."

Twilight Sparkle said, "I'll write a letter to Princess Celestia about your situation."

The Blue Angels decided to help in writing it, Twilight and Angel 1 spoke,

"Dear Princess Celestia,

After the Incident in Cloudsdale, We discovered the identity of the objects that helped Rainbow Dash save Rarity and the Wonderbolts. They are a group of bipedal creatures called 'Humans' The group that saved Rarity are a Demonstration Squadron known as the 'Blue Angels' They landed in Sweet Apple Acres because their machines ran out of power, so they can't get off the ground. They require your help for an Airbase, so they can practice their stunts, their base also needs a Magic catapult so they could take off.

Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle and Leader of the Blue Angels, Angel 1."

Her Dragon assistant, Spike sent the letter to Princess Celestia and instantily recieved a message, with Angel 2 saying, "That was fast." Angel 1 read it,

"To my Faithful Student,

I'm amazed and shocked about what happened in Cloudsdale, but the truth unfolds and new friends emerge. The Blue Angels will benefit my help, There is an abandoned tunnel near Canterlot, that the guards are already cleaning up. They are chipping away at the sides, so it would be large enough for the Blue Angels to take off and land, the catapult is being built in the runway, so when they take off, they take off fast. I don't know how their presence will effect the Grand Galloping Gala, but they are good enough. To the Blue Angels, I will agree to help you in your time of need.

Yours truly, Princess Celestia."

The Blue Angels cheered when they heard that they got a new Air Base, Rainbow Dash hugged Angel 1.

5 hours later, Princess Celestia and her Royal Guards arrived at the landing zone, the F-18s were crated up, and shipped to the Blue Angels' new base, the C-130 was refitted with a new Magic emitter, so the plane could fly again.

The Princess and her Guards used the flat-lands, near the acres as a temporary runway to launch the massive machine, the inhabitants of Ponyville attended in its launching. They saw Pegasi signalling 'Fat Albert' that it is cleared for take-off, its massive propellers fired up and started to move. The crowd saw what unfolded before their eyes, 10 massive sparks of propulsion from the cargo door lifted the massive aircraft off the ground and flown towards NAS Canterlot, as the Blue Angels call their new base.

At Naval Air Station Canterlot, which was an old cave in the mountain used for storage, now became the Blue Angels' makeshift base. The workers worked around the clock to expand the cave and build tunnels as hangers, as well as building the Catapult, like Celestia told them. Construction workers and Miners build a runway so Fat Albert can land, the measured the crates that had the F-18s and expanded each tunnel to its size and made a turn around, so the planes can turn around and face the right way for take-off.

The Catapult was a tricky thing to do, they don't know how the humans use a catapult to get their planes of the ground, but thanks to the Schematics sent by Celestia, they built the Steam Catapult like the ones the humans use on their massive Aircraft Carriers.

They had to halt their construction as one of the Unicorn's horns started to glow and a voice came in,

"Naval Air Station Canterlot, this is Fat Albert requesting permission to land, over."

They saw the the massive tunnel intended for the C-130 was complete, so the unicorn who recieved the transmission replied,

"You are cleared to land, Fat Albert." He soon turned toward the workers, "Everypony clear the runway!"

Everypony cleared the runway as Fat Albert landed, and to their surprise, it roatated itself and placed itself in its assigned tunnel. Soon the crew came out and admired the new base, but they need a crew on the flight deck. Angel 1 spoke,

"We still need to get our planes out of the crates, we need a Flight Crew, and a Catapult Crew to help us take off."

The one in charge is a Blue Pegasus Stallion, with a Yellow mane named Ace, he replied, "The Princess had schematics of these machines in the archives, We repurposed the Catapult, so it could only launch via Unicorn Magic, the cave is wide enough for six barriers to raise, allowing all six planes to take off. You can practice your stunts and do your technique, Angels." Ace saluted to the Blue Angels. Angel 2 asked,

"What were you before you worked on mechanics?"

Ace replied, "I was living the dream, flying with a Demonstration Squadron similar to the Blue Angels, The Cloudsdale Wonderbolts. Your Squad Leader saved them during the Best Flier Competition and made the Pegasus Mare, Rainbow Dash win the competition."

Angel 3 asked, "What happened after you left the Wonderbolts?"

The former Stallion replied, "After my two-years were up, I started going into Mechanics, I didn't have anything to do, just to repair the train if it broke down. Until you guys came along, then I found myself in the presence of such great fliers."

The other Angels and their new crew opened the crates and found the F-18s with their wings folded up. The Unicorns and Earth Ponies pulled the Hornets out of the crates, and placed the aircraft on the Runway where all pilots manned their planes. Ace asked Angel 1,

"Why do the wings fold up? Are they used for being in small spaces?"

Angel 1 replied as he put his flight helmet on, "The Hornets are Carrier-borne aircraft."

Ace realized this and soon told the Flight crew and Catapult crew, "All hooves on deck, prep the Blue Angels for take-off." He turned to the Catapult crew, "Catapult Team, make sure those planes are hooked up on the catapult and raise the pressure for Catapult 1."

As a Unicorn mare got into the Catapult control, she checked the pressure for Catapult 1, "Catapult 1, raising pressure, 70, 80, 90..Good to go. Ready to launch anytime."

Ace told Angel 6 through a Unicorn stallion's horn, "Angel 6, you are cleared for take-off." Angel 6's F/A-18 takes off and successfully gets airborne, Ace admired the work and said to all Flight crew,

"Blue Angel launched, Catapult crew raise pressure for Catapults 2, 3 and 4."

The Catapult operator replied, "Catapults 2, 3 and 4 are in the Green-Zone."

Ace ordered, "Lower Barrier 1 and raise Barriers 2, 3, and 4. Prep Catapults 5 and 6, after Angels 5, 4, and 3 launch."

The Catapult operator launched Angels 5, 4, and 3 after seeing their engines fire up with a Purple afterburn. She thought, "Must be the new Magic Emitter, that was fueled quicksilver." She told Ace, "Blue Angels launched, raising pressure for Catapults 5 and 6."

As the last Blue Angels were taking off, Ace saw what he has seen. An encounter with humans who also enjoy the magic of flight. As he ordered the Blue Angels, that they are cleared for take off. He saw as the six planes sped off into the thick blue sky, it reminded him of the Wonderbolts.

In Ponyville, the whole town was talking about the Blue Angels, and how they arrived. Rainbow Dash was in a shock, knowing that there is a team in resemblence with the Wonderbolts.

"Those humans use those machines to fly, it was also Angel 1 that helped save Rarity and the Wonderbolts. I wonder what happens if they ever flew side by side?"

Until everypony heard a loud noise coming from the mountain, the same sound of a Sonic Rainboom, but differant. They saw six objects appearing from the shockwave, and they immediatily remembered them as the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels were also playing another song as they flew. They were shocked when they saw the Blue Angels break the sound barrier, the only pony that ever did that was Rainbow Dash.

The Wonderbolts watched from a cloud and saw from shock that those six planes made a Sonic Boom. The leader of the Wonderbolts, Spitfire decided one thing,

"Lets dance with the Angels, side by side."

All Wonderbolts nodded in agreement, they saw the Blue Angels in flight, but never 'danced' with them. The Wonderbolts jumped from the cloud and formed a backward Delta formation behind the Blue Angels, making a big Diamond Formation with both groups. The Angels agreed to have the Bolts fly with them, knowing that they share the same colors.

All of Ponyville watched as both groups pulled off amazing stunts, 3 Blue Angels and 3 Wonderbolts barrel-rolled in a single entity, 2 Wonderbolts flew rightside-up while 2 Blue Angels flew upside-down, 2 Blue Angels and 2 Wonderbolts performed the Giant loop, Soarin' and Angel 2 did a Barrel Roll and flew past each other in a way that was too close for comfort, both groups flew a big Delta formation with the Angels on one side and the Bolts on the other, and both groups formed up in their big Diamond Formation, then separated. Everypony was dazzled at the sight of two Aerial Groups flying together.

After that the Blue Angels turned around and went back to Canterlot Naval Air Station, with the Wonderbolts following, he contacted Ace to lay out aresster cables, so they could slow down when they land. Soon he contacted his wingman,

"Angel 2, send a signal light to the lead Pegasus to follow us back to base, we want to discuss something with them."

Angel 2 replied, "Got it, Boss."

The Wonderbolts saw one of the Blue Angels pull out of formation and right next to Spitfire, the pilot was blinking something, Spitfire recognized,

"Its a signal light."

Soarin' translated, "Follow...us...to...our..base." He finished, "They want us to follow them to their base."

Spitfire replied, "I never got to thank them for saving our lives."

As all Blue Angels landed, their planes were placed back into their Hangers, and the Wonderbolts finally met the humans that saved their lives. Spitfire said,

"I'm Spitfire, Captain of the Wonderbolts, and We owe your our lives for saving us at Cloudsdale."

Angel 1 replied, "I'm Angel 1, Squad Leader of the US Navy Blue Angels. It was nothing, an Angel's gotta do, what an Angel's gotta do."

Soarin' replied, "You guys are more like our Guardian Angels."

Angel 2 replied, "I guess we are, we saved your lives, not to mention that White Unicorn known as Rarity."

Spitfire asked, "We are going to perform at the Grand Galloping Gala and we could always use another group."

Angel 1 replied, "We'll go, unless Fat Albert introduces the team."

Spitfire asked, "Who?"

Angel 1 turned to a dark tunnel, "Ace, turn on the lights for the central tunnel!"

The lights turned on revealing a massive aircraft, which startled the Wonderbolts because of its size. Angel 1 introduced,

"Meet Fat Albert, its a modified C-130 Hercules, that is used as our Transport to Airshows. We also use it for introducing us in Airshows, there are turbo jets on the sides near the Cargo Bay doors which increase its speed for short take-offs, and you will like this, Fat Albert could also rotate its propellers to make it go backwards and rotate."

Spitire replied with her eyes wide in shock, "We'll do that."

Angel 1 asked, "Is there a DJ anywhere closeby?"

At the Palace, Princess Celestia was waiting for a response after seeing what both groups acomplished. It was only 5 minutes until she recieved a message from Ace. She read,

"Dear Princess Celestia,

Project: Blue Angel was a success, the Angels like their new base and named it 'Canterlot Naval Air Station' a term for Air bases that are for the Navy on Earth. The Catapults are a major success as well. Our test results from today's take-off, we powered these Catapults, the same way humans do with steam. I must admit, it feels like a sauna when we use the catapult. The Blue Angels agreed to fly with the Wonderbolts during the Gala, you better make their insignia on some of the Gala decorations, cover the symbols of your nephew's cutie mark and replace it with Blue Angels and Wonderbolts. But don't get rid of the gems, those are for your Dragon son, courtesey of the Angels.

Your Chief Mechanic, Ace."

The Sun-Goddess agreed, because she never liked her nephew that much and she always cared for Spike on Canterlot Business. She told the decorators to replace her nephew's banners with Blue Angel and Wonderbolt banners and kept the gems out for Spike.
